when i was 10 years old my brilliant uncle made me a beautiful tea set crafted from sturdy white stoneware and glazed in an unfussy, yet quite remarkable white glaze. over the years i have treasured this tea set and always bring it out for my favorite people on the smallest of occasions or the grandest of events. it feels like how i think things should be...simple, functional and timeless. notary is a line that is built around this idea, and i hope that each item you choose becomes a treasure in your life as well. through many years working as a stylist and a designer i have developed a distinct love and appreciation for the things i want to fill my home and life. i share this life with my sweet husband, our beautiful baby and four ornery chickens in a farmhouse in Portland, Oregon.

my uncle the incredibly talented potter, found his passion and love for ceramics early. when at the age of 15 he threw his first pot. his father, an architect and his mother, a painter, they encouraged him to stick with his art. ceramics have become a lifelong love affair for jeff.
